In Tucson, we were once again warmly welcomed by the progressist community. A lot of people came to attend mass in southside Presbyterian church.

Protest outside "Tent City"

August 16th 2012 :

Before going to Tucson, we went to Maricopa to protest in front of "Tent city".
Sheriff Arpaio built this open air prison to punish migrants who cross the desert. Prisoners inside, live in tents facing unbearable heat. To humiliate them, they are forced to wear pink underwear.In front of the sheriff's office, there's a lot of provocative evoquations of Arpaio's war : a war against illegal migrants and against drugs.
