We spent the whole day in the "Holy Family Church", a catholic center that open us its doors. Different events are organized by different religious and politcal groups.
In the crowd, I recognize Maria Elena. I met her In Los Angeles a few days ago. She is a "chicana" that is to say born in the United States from Mexican parents. Her deep community feeling pushed her to study this particular binational culture.
Mass, Maria Elena and the gun show
Sicilia at the gun show
She is a writer and a "Chicano’s studies"professor in Los Angeles. Even if she doesn’t live in Mexico, she is really worried about violence in Mexico.
Before leaving, I join Javier Sicilia and Araceli Rodriguez who's son was killed. They want to visit the gun show at Albuquerque’s convention center.
